Newly promoted to Vice President, Worldwide Television Publicity at Warner Bros., Yong Kim '23 shares his journey from UCLA as an undergrad--where he was mascot Joe Bruin for two years--back to UCLA Anderson and the FEMBA program.

Uzi Alaidroos '23 is one of this year's John Wooden Leadership Fellows, selected and honored by the school. Join us to hear Uzi's journey through FEMBA working in aerospace at Northrop Grumman and raising his children with his wife. Uzi dealt with thyroid cancer and two surgeries and only missed three classes that quarter, earning a 4.0. Uzi will share his lessons learned to help you deal with the bumps in the road that inevitably are part of the graduate school journey. You'll also learn what it was like to stand on stage in front of over 500 esteemed alumni, faculty and Anderson friends as a John Wooden Leadership Fellow.

Dr. Ryan Alimo '23 shares his story of emigrating from Tehran to the US, and growing his career from JPL and Mars to creating his own Artificial Intelligence company, OPALAI. Ryan has already hired six UCLA Anderson students, and is the recipient of the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research grant. Ryan is a person with big dreams. Ryan's passion is to motivate younger generations to believe in themselves and reach their dreams.

The Eye MBA program is a pilot for Ophthalmology doctors to earn their MBA at UCLA during their residency. Cory Hoeferlin and Sagar Rhambia are the first two MDs to pilot this program and they share their experience. The goal is to expand this and offer this to residents in other disciplines of medicine.

From wheelchair sports to FEMBA, Carolanne Link ‘23 never says never. She works at UCLA with the UCLA Web Accessibility Initiative (UWAI) and the Committee on Disability (UCOD). On FEMBA Council, she is currently the VP for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, a passion she has maintained all three years.
